About Me:
  • Dr. Marjorie Berkowitz (she/her), is a Clinical Psychologist born and raised in New York. She earned a doctorate from The George Washington University and completed postdoctoral training at Hackensack University Medical Center, a regional diagnostic center for children who experienced severe abuse and neglect.

Across her career she has developed expertise supporting children with diverse needs and helping parents and caregivers understand and respond to their children more effectively.

Her journey with CPS began in 2011 & she joined the Think:Kids clinical team at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2012, where she spent seven years providing intensive family therapy, leading parenting groups, and teaching as faculty in the Department of Psychiatry.

In 2020, she joined NYC Health + Hospitals, helping lead trauma-informed initiatives across inpatient psychiatric units. She now serves as Senior Psychologist in the Child and Adolescent Program at Lenox Hill Hospital’s Outpatient Center for Mental Health, providing outpatient care, supervising postdoctoral fellows, and expanding parenting support services.

She also has a small telehealth private practice serving residents of MA & NY.
