Think:Kids Grievance and Accommodations Policies

Grievance Policy

Think:Kids strives to provide the highest quality. If an issue is raised by a person who takes a course provided by Think:Kids, that issue will be brought to our Director of Training Services and/or Social Work Consultant and will be managed using the following policy:

  1. If the grievance concerns a presenter, the content presented by the presenter, or the presentation style, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put their comments in written format. The Director of Training Services and/or Social Work Consultant will then pass on the comments to the trainer, assuring the confidentiality of the individual reporting the grievance. Depending on the nature and severity of the grievance, The Director of Training Services and/or Social Work Consultant may meet with the trainer to discuss remediation plans.
  2. If the grievance concerns a pre-recorded or other asynchronous course, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put their comments in written format. The Director of Training Services and/or Social Work Consultant will review the grievance and triage it to the appropriate member of the Think:Kids team. If the grievance concerns content in the course, the grievance will be forwarded to the creator(s) of the course to determine if modifications to the course content are required. If the grievance concerns the technology, administering of, or overall quality of the course experience, the grievance will be forwarded to the Director of Operations who may use one or a combination of the following methods to remediate: provide a credit for a future course, provide a partial or full refund for the course, or modify the technology and/or administration of the course for future participants.
  3. If the grievance concerns the Director of Training Services and/or Social Work Consultant directly, the Executive Director will be notified and arbitrate appropriately.

If you would like to submit a grievance,  please email thinkkidsinfo@mgh.harvard.edu.

Accommodations Policy

Think:Kids is committed to providing reasonable accommodation (RA) for individuals with disabilities, barring accommodations that would create undue hardship. Individuals requesting accommodation should submit their request via e-mail to thinkkidsinfo@mgh.harvard.edu. If that is not possible, accommodation requests can also be made by calling 617-643-6030. Accommodation requests must be submitted at least three weeks before the training or event starts.
