Members of our Think:Kids Certified Community include parents, educators, mental health professionals, and more. They provide a range of services such as outpatient and in-home counseling, inpatient and residential treatment, and teach our Parent/Caregiver, Introduction, and Essential Foundation courses.

About Me:
  • Ted specializes in providing family therapy grounded in Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and is the Director of The Family Clinic at Restore Therapy. As part of the Family Clinic he also offers Think:Kids CPS Parent Classes every Fall, Winter, and Spring. Ted particularly enjoys assisting parents at feeling more confident and competent in connecting with their children and managing their challenging behaviors. His goal is to support parents as leaders of their family to become more skilled leaders. When asked by people what Ted does for a living his answer is: "I teach adults how to listen to children."

    Since 2004, Ted has been working with at-risk youth and families in a variety of rural and urban clinical settings including juvenile justice, substance abuse, outpatient mental health, violence prevention outreach, foster care, residential, home-based mental health services, primary care behavioral health, and private practice. Ted is a founding clinician at Restore Therapy.

    Ted is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (OR) and founding clinician at Restore Therapy. He earned his B.A. in Social Work and his Masters of Social Work from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
