About Me:
  • Karen Kraut, MPH, is a parenting coach specializing in the Collaborative Problem Solving® approach. She provides individual/couples coaching virtually to parents living anywhere, and/or in-person in Greater Boston. Karen has worked with hundreds of parents over the last 10 years.

Karen gives parents practical, concrete tools to relate better to their kids, reduce challenging behavior, and build their child/teen's skills in self-regulation, flexibility, and problem-solving. Rather than using power, control and motivators, Karen offers a radically different understanding of challenging kids and an effective, positive approach to parenting.

Karen is the mother of two sons, ages 20 and 17, and has experienced directly the many joys and challenges of parenting, as well as the tremendous benefits of Collaborative Problem Solving to her children, her spouse, and herself. She has a Master of Public Health from University of California, Berkeley; a Graduate Certificate in Counseling and Psychology from Lesley University; and a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
