The Collaborative Problem Solving Certified Community

With millions of kids struggling with their behavior in North America alone, Think:Kids is constantly working to expand access to our Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS) approach. Thanks to our Certification Program, there is a growing community of people who are Certified and Certified Trainers across North America and the world!

Members of our Think:Kids Certified Community include parents, educators, mental health professionals, and more. They provide a range of services such as outpatient and in-home counseling, inpatient and residential treatment, and teach our Parent/Caregiver, Introduction, and Essential Foundation courses.

About Me:
  • I've worked with young people and families for over 50 years, and was CEO of an organization that adopted CPS, which became the first associate site with ThinkKids when Think:Kids was certifying sites. We implemented the approach across 15 locations in five counties in Oregon, with great success, including significant reduction in coercive interventions, improved outcomes, and growth in our organizational culture and business. I became a Certified Trainer in 2014 and have provided approximately 50 Level One trainings and a couple of Level 2. I use CPS in my private practice with transformational impacts. I have found the approach to be remarkably effective in implementing the key principles of the brain science. I particularly enjoy helping families and organizations adapt CPS to their immediate circumstances, and find myself invoking it in the other non-CPS trainings on trauma sensitive practice that I provide.
