Thanks to our Certification Program, there is a growing community of people who are Certified and Certified Trainers across North America and the world!

Members of our Think:Kids Certified Community include parents, educators, mental health professionals, and more. They provide a range of services such as outpatient and in-home counseling, inpatient and residential treatment, and teach our Parent/Caregiver, Introduction, and Essential Foundation courses.

About Me:
  • I have been honored to have started planting the seeds of the Collaborative Problem Solving®(CPS) throughout Orange County beginning in 2004. Guided by the belief that “kids (and adults) do well if they can” HBCC supports families, schools, and professionals to recognize this compassionate, relationship & skill-building approach with the neurodiverse and complex, behaviorally challenging children, youth & young adults.

    I am the parent of 2 sons born in 1994 & 1995, a Coach & the Founder of the non-profit, Helping the Behaviorally Challenging Child (HBCC), in Tustin, CA. Originally from Boston—and once a “frequent flyer” for challenging behaviors myself—learning about CPS was life-changing. It inspired me to spread this skill-building approach in SoCal where I currently live and create a community to improve outcomes and change other complex, challenging children's lives. Over time, more CPS Certified parents and professionals have joined HBCC which has grown to adding Workshops, School Advocacy, Therapy and Professional Trainings to the original Parent Support & Affiliate Classes, all integrating CPS into homes, schools, and agencies.
