About Me:
  • Elisa Brown is a Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS) Certified Trainer and the Executive Director of Helping the Behaviorally Challenging Child, where she brings the CPS approach to her work with families, educators & communities. She has the privilege of helping parents and caregivers strengthen connection, communication, and confidence through CPS. Elisa focuses on helping families, particularly those raising neurodivergent children, strengthen relationships and discover more compassionate, collaborative ways of relating and addressing challenges. She leans into her own lived experience as a parent to connect with families in a genuine, empathetic way. Elisa is a Registered Associate Social Worker (ASW131623) on the path to becoming an LCSW.

In addition to her work with families, Elisa partners with schools, community organizations, and youth-serving professionals to integrate CPS and trauma-informed practices across systems. She provides CPS trainings for educators and clinicians to help them better support the children in their care. Elisa holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine.
