About Me:
  • Dr.Benkov is formerly the Clinic Director of Think:Kids and Assistant in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is licensed in Massachusetts and New York and offers telehealth services in both states. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at City University of New York and completed her pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital Boston and Judge Baker Guidance Center. She is both a psychotherapist and neuropsychologist who has worked with children, adults, couples and families for the past three decades in a variety of community mental health, private practice, and hospital settings including being a supervising psychologist at Children’s Hospital Boston, the founding project manager of the school liaison program at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and a supervising psychologist at New England Memorial Hospital, and at Fenway Community Health Center. She is the author of Reinventing the Family: The Emerging Story of Lesbian and Gay Parents (Crown Publishers 1994) as well as numerous articles and book chapters. She has taught at the Family Institute of Cambridge, Boston University, and Harvard Medical School and was a producer and host of several seasons of the Family to Family Real Talk series at the Harvard Medical School affiliated Brazelton Touchpoints Center.
