Instructions

All Collaborative Problem Solving Certified Community Members who wish to enroll in the Trainer Certification Course must submit a Registration Form and a $50 Registration Fee. Think:Kids will review the Registration Form and be in touch regarding your cohort seat assignment. Please note that space is limited, and your cohort preference is not guaranteed, though we will do our best to accommodate.

Important: Instructors will review, in advance of all Sessions, any training/class evaluation data that is available for all registrants. This data will help Instructors to support and better meet the needs of their learners. Evaluation Data is sent to our Certified Community Members on a quarterly basis. • Individual Instructor Meetings (30-60 mins): Learners will have at least four Individual Meetings with their Instructor. These sessions allow learners to meet one-on-one with the Instructor to discuss their goals for the course, plan for their first Essential Foundation training, and receive feedback from their Group Session Presentations. Learners will share important context surrounding their Presentations and any reflections they may have using the Presentation Rubric. The Instructor will share feedback and suggestions for areas to work on in future Presentations. The final Individual Session (required) will occur after the learner has completed the course and has co-led their first official Essential Foundation training with another Certified Trainer.
• Group Sessions: Planning (60-90 mins): Learners will participate in three Planning Sessions with their cohort. During the Planning Sessions, learners will prepare their personal training toolkit, including activities, stories, presenter notes, and delivery plan for each content section of an Essential Foundations training. This preparation will aid in their upcoming Presentations and eventual full training.
• Group Sessions: Presentation (5 hrs): Learners will participate in three Presentation Sessions with their cohort. These sessions allow learners to practice presenting content from the Essential Foundation (Level 1) curriculum for feedback.
• Individualized Learning (1-3 hrs): Learners will complete individualized learning based on areas where they could benefit from additional practice and feedback. Instructors will determine which learning assignments to assign based on key benchmarks.
• Planning Assignments (3 hrs): Throughout the course, learners will complete planning assignments in preparation for their Group Session Presentations. These assignments will result in a full teaching plan for their first official Essential Foundation training.
• Reflection Assignments (3 hrs): Throughout the course, learners will complete reflection assignments following their Group Session Presentations. These assignments will be discussed live with instructors during learners' individual instructor meetings.
• Case Example Assignment (1h): Learners will complete a build your case example assignment to use in their Essential Foundation courses once a Certified Trainer.

• The $50 registration fee is nonrefundable/non-transferrable.
• The registration fee must be paid before the registration submission can be reviewed.
• Registrations are due by 11:59 pm ET on the indicated due date; any submissions received after the due date will be considered for a future session.
• Tuition must be paid to secure a spot in a desired cohort.
• Learners are required to attend all scheduled sessions. A learner will not successfully complete this course if they miss any of the scheduled sessions or coursework deadlines.

Collaborative Problem Solving Certified Community

Graduates of the Certification course and Certified Trainer course join our international Community of Collaborative Problem Solving Certified professionals. Certification/Trainer Certification is maintained through annual membership renewal.

The Certified Community receives several benefits including ongoing professional development, support from Think:Kids, and an invitation to the annual CPS Certification conference. Members are given access to a vast array of CPS resources and materials, recognized as Certified/Certified Trainers in Collaborative Problem Solving through our website and the Certified Seal they may display with their professional credentials.

• Annual Certified Trainer Renewal: $995
